An E-Sesh in a Bread Bowl

We had so much fun on this shoot- Kate and Kevin's e-sesh was done in Pismo at the beach and just walking around the shops downtown. Turns out their first date was actually in Pismo... how appropriate! We really had a good time with them, though because not only do they obviously share the same goofy sense of humor and Trevor and I, but we actually found out they could quite possibly be our twin couple... Not convinced? Hear me out: Kate and Kevin also live in Atascadero. They also have a black dog- a part black lab, no less. AND they also have a tortoise shell cat.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that officially makes us couple twins... Awesome. I know.

So we really had a fun afternoon with these two and were really able to capture the love and silly nature between these the two of them. Not to mention, we all went out to Splash Cafe afterwards and had some amazing clam chowder in a bread bowl. That right there made it the best. engagement. shoot. EVER. :)

Enjoy.

Baba (n) Grandmother in Slavic, Eastern European countries.

Meet Baba.

Baba is pretty much the coolest grandma.... well, ever. She's so hip and with it she even has a post - it on her fridge with 'Baba-licious' written on it. Baba has taught me a great many things in this short life of mine. She's taught me to stick up for myself and have a good head on my shoulders not only as an intelligent person in this world, but especially as a woman. I mean, her favorite saying when it comes to finding a man is 'Shop 'til ya drop!' ....yeah. She's awesome.

These are photos from her 80-something-ish birthday back in October. We had such a great time with the family, but also just enjoying the presence of Baba's company. She always makes you laugh and is just always such a positive influence in your day.

Baba has helped mold and shape me as a person in ways that not only will I never forget, but that are thoroughly ingrained in me as a person. Happy birthday, Baba! We all love you so much, and even though you're majorly anti- computer... (I don't blame you- when I'm your age, I'm sure I'll be majorly anti- time travel or whatever the devil it is the kids will be doing those days) ...but I'll be sure one of the grandkids shows you this post- and all the awesome pictures I captured of the day. :)

Great Scott! The Scotts are hitched!

Vanessa & Travis' ceremony was the simplest, most quaint ceremony of ours to date. They got married surrounded by their friends and family (literally... their guests stood in a circle around the couple... I know, loved it) and surrounded by the epitome of what this beautiful planet has to offer- soft sand, waves, a warm, sunny day with a few patchy clouds in the sky... it was a beautiful day for a wedding. Their decorations were simple- sunflowers were Vanessa's inspiration as you can see below. But it was really awesome because everyone just seemed so focused on the couple; their love and their vows- nothing else.

Oh... and not to mention... if this little boy's parents weren't within eye shot, I would have scooped him up, put him in my purse and smuggled him out of the wedding.... What a doll! Look at that blonde hair and those vibrant blue eyes! Clearly he's already quite the ladies man.

Thank you Scotts for an awesome Saturday. Beautiful wedding. Beautiful venue. Amazingly beautiful couple.
